As Frank always says, even the casual pet owner can contribute a wealth of new knowledge and information about their particular species. Now's your chance to share your observations with the world.

That Bird Blog is now open to guest bloggers. Anyone interested in getting their work published in front of lots of loyal readers may submit a brief blog post (no more than 600 words please, not including a short biography of yourself).

Just a few basic pointers to getting published:

1. That Bird Blog loves unique content. A care guide for canaries for example, probably wouldn't get chosen.

2. Don't plagiarize, and this includes taking your own stuff word-for-word off another website.

3. Don't go link crazy.
